Brooks led the Shockers’ pitching staff with a 3.23 ERA in 2016, throwing 136.1 innings in 21 starts and 38 appearances. Brooks also led the team with 18 wins and held opponents to a .271 batting average. She threw three complete games and collected three saves.
Brooks pitched in 34 games, starting 17 with an ERA of 3.45, tied for the team lead. She threw five complete games and threw 115.2 innings, which was second on the team. Brooks also compiled 64 strikeouts and had an opponent’s batting average of .297.


Finished the season 6-2 with one save for the Shockers…Appeared in 18 games, starting six with one complete game in 2014, striking out 19 in 53 innings pitched…Had a 5.28 era during her first season as a Shocker…Earned her first win as a Shocker on March 15 against Loyola, pitching five innings while allowing three hits and striking out two…Pitched her first career complete game on March 22 against Indiana State, pitching seven innings while allowing one run on seven hits, striking out one and walking four…Won her last three starts of the season, including the victory against Illinois State on May 3 that clinched Wichita State softball’s first MVC Championship in school history.


Played for the Olathe East Hawks under head coach Jeff Hulse…Three-year softball letter award winner and part of three Sunflower League Championship teams, two regional championships and the 2012 6A State Championship teams…Named freshman of the year and earned first team All-State pitching honors and All-South Central Region honors the past two seasons.
